98 Degrees & Rising (1998) 98 Degrees

"True To Your Heart" was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Song Written For A Motion Picutre Or For Television.

This harmony-driven Ohio foursome's sophomore release finds brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons collaborating with some of the day's hottest producers. The Trackmasters-produced "Do You Wanna Dance" uses a sample from Kool & The Gang's classic "Get Down On It." Keith Thomas and Anders Bagge also worked on tracks that range from hip-hop-flavored R&B to pop and Eurodance styles.
Love songs are numerous on this release, including a remake of "I Do (Cherish You)," originally recorded by country singer Mark Wills. Producers Sean Hosein & Dane Denviller co-wrote the acoustic guitar-accented "Still." The maturity of the groups shines through on their second album on tracks like "Because Of You," "Heat It Up" and 'True To Your Heart," which features an appearance from Stevie Wonder.

Album (1997) Angel Grant

The superstar production team Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, known for producing hits for Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige and numerous others, put together the debut album from Angel Grant, a sweet-voiced, lyrically centered artist. Grant explores diverse issues on her album, with songs like "Lil' Red Boat," which speaks of maintaining self-determination and faith while navigating sometimes-troubled waters, and "Anyway," which finds Grant educating a slick-talking player. Stevie Wonder makes an appearance on harmonica on the beautiful "I'm In Love With You." Grant even takes a shot at alternative R&B with "Illusions," a guitar-based song that sounds as if it could be from Alana Davis or Fiona Apple. With such a strong production team behind her, the sky is the limit for this Angel.
